Ileana D’Cruz: A Glimpse of her Magnificent Career
Ileana D’Cruz is a famous Indian actress who is also known as a Tamil and Telegu film actress too. Her Tamil film Devadasu has made her won the Filmfare Award for being the top female debut. She has made herself as one of the most leading actresses in Telegu cinema through a series for her successful films such as Pokiri, Kick, Julayi, Jalsa and so on. Her first Bollywood movie was “Barfi!” which was released in 2012. She received high praise for her acting in this movie.
Though Ileana D’Cruz was born in Mumbai, she was also half raised in Goa. Her first part of the name “Ileana” comes from the Greek Mythology which bears the meaning of “Helen of Troy”. Konkani is the mother tongue of Ileana. Her mother worked in a hotel when she was 10. The manager of the hotel suggested her mother that Ileana has a nice face and should go for modeling. At initial stage, Ileana wasn’t very interested at it.
But the continuous persuasion of her family has made her do it. Her first Portfolio was in 2003. Several photo shoots along with ramp shows has made her quite famous that time. At that time, she did three commercial advertisements. These advertisements had made her famous in the Film Industry and she started to get offers for acting in films.
Ileana D’Cruz has won the Filmfare Award South as the top female debut. She was also nominated for several other categories too.
