Sridevi: A summary of Her Famous Career

Sridevi, professionally known as Sridevi Kapoor, is a famous Indian actress. Along with Indian films, she has also worked in Tamil, Malayam and in a few Kannada films too. She is also known as the foremost female superstar on Indian Film Industry.

Sridevi started acting when she was only 4 years old as a child artist. Her first Bollywood movie was Julie where she worked as a child artist. Sridevi’s first adult work was in a Tamil movie named Moondru Mudichu at the age of 13. During her career, she made herself as one of the most pioneering female actresses of Tamil and Telegu movies.

Her most successful Bollywood debut was in the Solva Sawan movie, which made her popular and known all over India. Starting from it, she has done quite a lot of successful movies from time to time.

In the year of 2012, after a long pause of 15 years, Sridevi returned to films and worked in English Vinglish movie. She is the only actress in history who is known to make such a successful return. The next year, the Indian Government has gifted her Padma Shri, which is the fourth uppermost national honor. In her whole acting career, Sridevi has won many awards including five Filmfare Awards and a Special Filmfare Award.

Sridevi was born in 1963 at Sivakasi. She is the daughter if Ayyapan and Rajeswari. Her father was in a law profession. She also has three siblings. In the year of 1996, Sridevi got married with Boney Kapoor who was a famous producer. Now she is a proud mother of two children.
